Be sure the nut has not become detached from the long rod that it is either
press fit or welded onto.Mine had similar problem because the press or welded
fit had come loose after 20+ years of use.Took both to a local welding shop and
had it re-welded for $20. He did it in a jig to ensure that

the list:
1.The wheel nut on my Edson wheel is constantly loosening itself while sailing.
Does anyone have a good fix for this problem so it is removable but does not
loosen itself?
2. I am planning to install a

Hi Edd,
On our 1994 C 37/40+, I recently replaced the halyards, and for both the jib
and the main I went with 120 feet of 7/16" of New England Ropes VPC. At the
time, APS had the best price. I like this line as it is a little nubbier than
most and is held nicely by the clutches.
