Filling a 20 pound propane tank around here costs around $15 or so. It
has hard to compare the two, methane is a gas sold by the cubic foot and
propane is a liquid sold by weight. Propane produces about twice the BTU
per molecule as methane, so it probably is cheaper by the BTUs produced.
