As far as I know getting the MG derived diesel that C used back then rebuilt
is not possible, so A4 is my guess.

Andy- perhaps the now even-more-beautiful Christina has inherited her Dad’s
boat, with its mast intact but it needs an expensive new engine. Perhaps she’s
sad and at a loss as to how to proceed
This, finally, could be your moment! ;-)

You think somewhere there is a beautiful race boat carbon mast broken off with
enough length left at the top to make a nice rig for this sweetheart. I think a

could be a total sleeper!
I’ve always loved those boats.
Is there salvage yard that you can get a mast

After Hurricane Katrina a few like this ended up as "bedrooms on a pier".
If someone needs a better engine, grab this one, yank the engine and give
it to a charity or throw it back on Craigslist.

In my install the heater is tucked under the aft end of the shelf in the
cockpit locker. It doesn't get in the way and is reasonably protected.
The exhaust runs aft, goes up at the transom to form a hump and then
down and out through the transom, off the top of my head maybe 20" from

No idea on the right tank, but I sure would love some pics as you go through
the install. I have been contemplating on doing hydronic on Alera since we got
here. Wondering where you intend to mount and the location of the exhaust.

Hi Blair
That is about the size mine is, I might have closer to 50ft of 3/4" hose
and I'm running an Espar D5 to two radiators and also through the hot
water tank coils. Works great, 9 years in.
Actually, looking back at the article I see I claimed 50 ft hose, and
the expansion tank is

No idea about this other than the ad.
I have to say it is a bit depressing. My mast was out for a few months and
while I like the boat better with sails, the boat was certainly usable as a 6
Hello
I am about to install a planar 5S diesel hydronic heater in our C 34+ and
would appreciate some advice on what to use for a balance/header tank.
I plan on running about 40 ft of 3/4 pex so that works out roughly to 3.5
litres of glycol in the system.
I expect the expansion to be less tha
