Coincidentally, just got an email from Sailrite that has soft fabrics on
sale, I bought some of the Protecte it, I think it is light enough to be
sewn with a household sewing machine

I find that spherical fenders work better than cylindrical ones to prevent
scratches.

getting a large number of light scratches in the hull paint in the area where I
normally bring my dinghy alongside to board the boat. This is near where the
launch comes as well, but the location seems to correlate more
