Wire coat hangers.
You can cut them and bend them into huge variety of tools.
Many years ago, I read this advice from a very experienced cruiser³never go
to sea without a wire coat hanger².

I¹m 81 in February and my eyes are still quite good, never had laser
surgery.
I have bifocals for general use and cheap magnifiers for working on the Mac.
The only thing I can think of that may have preserved my vision is that I¹ve
been religious about wearing sunglasses while sailing, fishing,
Klacko has done repairs for me on my spreaders and several years ago built
me a new holding tank. I¹ve found them to be great to deal withexcellent
work, reasonable, and a good attitude.
BTW, the last time I was there, I was treated to a beautiful sight, they had
