I went down this road last year and ultimately paid a guy to do it for me.
The old bearing had been glued in and even with the shaft already out he
destroyed the threads on his screw press trying to shift it. The bearing
had to come out in pieces. Those extractors are great when they work but
after
I can't remember who loaned me that and my email archives got corrupted so
I can't check. Worked like a charm.
