It's just under 65 miles from Chesapeake City to Cape May. Hitting the current right is critical if I want to get there in under 12 hours. I've found that a confluence of favorable wind and current is as common as sightings of the Jersey Devil. If worse comes to worse, I can duck into Cohansey

David, I plotted an all outside trip out as well. Down the Chesapeake and up outside LI from Norfolk. Added up to just over 500 miles iirc. If I decide to make the trip, I'll keep an outside route as a contingency if the weather holds. I have an autopilot but I haven't seen friends go on sale

I agree, lets get those registrations in early so we can finalize everything at the Mystic Seaport. They are really stepping up to the plate to help us have a great time and we would like to return the favor. September is not a slow time for them, they have lots of Yacht Clubs doing fall

Listers, Just a reminder that, in just 14 weeks, we will be having our fourth annual C Northeast Rendezvous at the beautiful and historic Mystic Seaport. Some highlights: We are staying in the seaport. At night, all the guests leave and we have the place to ourselves (and the night watchmen.)
