Stus-List Best price on a 1989 CNC 37+

Based on putting a well worn 89 under contract (that failed the sea trial) and then purchasing the pristine Alera I think that the boat you are describing should be priced out at around 80-82k. But I'm no broker. The things that would cause me a great dal of concern is that any intrusion into

Hi David, I suppose this is obvious but make sure your surveyor is able to be certain there are no issues with wet or delaminated balsa core in the hull and deck. I don't have the 1989 laminate schedule but the 1990 laminate schedule for the 37+ for both hull and deck shows 1" of balsa throughout

Re escrow. When I bought Indigo it was on the hard and winterized. I had it surveyed on the hard. My broker arranged for a significant amount of the contract amount to be held, I think by him or perhaps with an attorney, until the spring when we could splash and test out the engine / transmissio

[David Roberts] Wow great feed back! I do know how to run the engine out of the water. I normally just stick the inlet hose in a bucket that I am running a flow regulated water hose into. I just keep the buck full, works great. But that won't let me check the engine under load I think I agree that

If you do go to contract on this boat , I strongly recommend that you have an escrow to cover as much as you possibly can. I would be very wary of buying any boat, let alone one that has been on the hard for several years, without a sea trial Jonathan C&C 35 mk III -- Jonathan Trade Show Servi

Yachtworld maintains a database of sold vessels. It is more accurate than the blue book. Sounds like a boat listed in Spinsheet. If its the same boat and that's all it needs it sounds like a bargain! I'd recommend a rigging survey in addition to a survey. If it is rod rigging it may need to be
