maybe because we want some self tailing winches...my 1974 35 MKII came
equipped with lots of nice Barient winches but none were self tailing...so
now I have 2 barient 28+ self tailers for jib sheet winches...lots easier
for single handed or short handed sailing

Seems to be a theme here, several have replaced their Barient winches, I've had
mine apart, cleaned and lubed, only one #24 showing any wear at all, everything
else looks brand new, why are we replacing?

Interesting...our 35 came with a pair of 18's. Now replaced with Lewmar
30ST's.
