If no overboard discharge, If black water it’s the joker valve, if sea water the flapper. Mine does both under the right conditions. I close the raw water intake when under way, and change the joker valve every season, PLUS keeping the holding tank pumped out. Dave Sent from my iPhone >

I just rebuilt one of these from a rebuild kit that was in a locker for 4 years on a dock in Coos Bay in the middle of a trip from Seattle to SF. If you have the time and stomach, rebuild it. Don't leave any components untouched. If there is a black liner that looks broken inside the main pump ho
