I took ours off soon after we got Callisto also. The head door is
sufficient for our needs to keep warmth in for the v-berth, and privacy is
not a concern. I do like the curtain idea, in case we do wish to add some
separation at some point. If we do any offshore crossings where we'd be
sleeping in
I have a spare forward interior door for a Landfall 38 but I’m not sure if it
will fit your frame or style. Can you measure your interior frame? Do you
have any pics of the door before it was destroyed?

Removed Touche's bifold forward cabin door nearly 2 decades ago. Replaced
with a homemade curtain. Bought some nautical fabric (anchor motif) and
cobbled it up in a few minutes at home. Left about 12 inch gap at bottom
for lots of air flow. It folds up small for storage in a plastic zipper

I’ve gotten mad at my crew, maybe yelled at them to get a sheet in, but I’ve
never thrown one through a door.

A few weeks ago, in a race, one of my crew was thrown into the forward cabin
door which shattered into many pieces. With only two of us on the boat it is
not needed at all, so I am not too worried, I am curious what others think
about the utility of a front cabin door. We have never used it
