Bob Andrews and I found a Lens Cleaning Case (complete with equipment)
while at the Valmont Reservoir Overlook. It was lying on the picnic
table. If it belongs to one of our co-birders, you contact me direct.

Upon returning from our trip to see the Rusty Blackbirds, Bob Andrews
and I stopped at Red Rocks. At the entrance to Red Rocks along Hwy 93
closest to Morrison, we observed what appeared to be a Harlan's Hawk

Hello all,
Mike Henwood and I went to the Simpson Ponds State Wildlife Area to look for
the Rusty Blackbirds reported earlier. Around 1 to 1:30 PM, we found two Rusty

2nd times, resp.). Just like the other times, they were fee
Don Beltz and I were both viewing the male Barrow's Goldeneye from opposite
angles today.
We both agreed the bird is found most often just north (as in 100 feet) of the
bridge going over the Platte River at Florida. Parking is just to the north
and east of this intersection.

Hello, Birders.
The annual birding trip to the Valmont Reservoir complex, Boulder County, will
be this coming Saturday, January 9th. We will start at noon. That is not a
typo. It's just that there's no reason to get there early in the morning, when
it's bitterly cold and there are actually fe
