Hi all,
I had a surprise today with the arrival of 2, Pygmy Nuthatches, in my yard.
They came in with the White-breasted, and Red-breasted Nuthatches. I had up to
5 Pygmy Nuthatches about 10 years ago, show up in my yard in the winter. This
was a first show for them since that latter time.
I arrived around 7:30 a.m. and first birded the Kodak SWA (the sun
was more favorable) seeing only one Red-tail. Then proceeded to the
north side of the river and walked the Poudre Trail. There were a
number of other birders and we stopped and waited at the spot where
the bird had been s

This morning, I apparently left a black fanny pack full of small
photographic paraphernalia (batteries, flash cards, blower, etc) between the
bike trail and the S. Platte, near the Goldeneye hangout just north of where
Florida crosses the river. I'm hoping one of you COBirders picked up my

I birded Pueblo Reservoir from 3-5pm this afternoon.

Does anyone have photos of the Snowy Owl perched on the roof on
Prairie Vista Lane? He was on my roof for a while before moving to the
stove pipe on the blue house to east of our house. I'd sure like to
have a few shots of him especially given how rare a sighting this is.

Another horde of birders enjoyed the site of a house with a snowy owl
chimney. He was in the same suburb as before. Take Scott Road south,the
first street east of the Hwy 24, Elbert Road junction. Take two more
rights to get on Prairie Vista. Follow it around to something like

While I was in Texas chasing the Tiger-Heron, I met a birder who
will be attending a conference in Breckenridge later this month.
