Hi all,
This morning there was a female Barrow's Goldeneye at Lake Estes.
As you drive into the lake parking area from HWY 36, turn right and drive to
the end of the parking lot and the bird was seen with several Common Goldeneys
out in the open water.

CO birders :
Duane Nelson , Stan Oswald and myself relocated the immature female
Pine Warbler this morning in the NE corner of Pueblo City Park loosely
associating with Brown Creeper and Red-breasted Nuthatches. It took us over 2
hours to find her , the giveaway being the hard chip
I received a phone call today from my brother-in-law asking me about the four
birds he was seeing at the intersection of Main St. and 119 in Longmont. They
were taking to the sky from somewhere in the area. He described them as larger
than a Great Blue Heron, pinkish in color and keep
The closest pink birds I know of are introduced Chilean flamingos in the
Salton Sea, Calif. The constant rains and cold fronts across southern Calif
have pushed at least two frigate birds into southern Arizona, but to suggest
that hese birds might be flamingos is, admittedly, far out.
