All,
This morning, I photographed what appears to be a male COMMON Green-winged
TEAL at the State Wildlife Area on the North West Side of Pueblo Reservoir.
Unfortunately, the bird flew with the other teal. The bird might come back.
I'm heading back there, and see if it does. Tony Leukering
As of a few minutes ago, the Common Teal, was not present. There were still
two American Green-winged Teal and two Blue-winged Teal. There were more
teal around yesterday in the evening and a lot more this morning, so there is a
chance it will return later today or tomorrow. There are
No end to my junco discussion this season. Finally had a white-winged junco
this spring - just now. Wherein I usually have a few hanging out all winter.
Got some decent pics (as always, through window, low light cloud cover).

Thursday, April 7th.
Here's what we found:

Grebe, 1 Turkey Vulture, 1 Bald Eagle, 1 spectacular Prairie Falcon flying
I stopped at Bowles Reservoir #1 just now (jeffco; this is the Res
immediately South of Marston Lake, which is Arapaho County) to watch
activity at the Heron/Cormorant rookery. And there is, indeed, plenty
of action there. I was also treated to 19 Red-breasted Mergansers-- a
mixed flock of males

Around 5:00 p.m. today I say 6 very active Franklin's gulls flying
over the middle of Johnson Reservoir at Clement Park (southeast corner

wheeling around in large circles, and occasionally landing on the
water (hopefully

Greetings
I circulated the admittedly mediocre photos of the GWGU-oid from Drake Lake to
friends in Alaska and Washington, all quite familiar with GW Gulls and GW x
Herring Gull hybrids. The consensus leaned towards GW x Herring Gull, which is
the feeling I get from the photos. Alas, I broke
I checked the teal location at the Pueblo Reservoir State Wildlife Area on the
North Side off and on throughout the afternoon and early evening, and the bird
didn't appear when I was there. I'm hoping that the bird might be around
tomorrow morning, like it was today for a little while. I

behind the King Soopers at 136th Zuni. While it is surrounded on
three sides by Westminster, the park is in Broomfield. It's a great
place for shorebirds. Last year, we had nesting Killdeer, American
Avocet and Spotted Sandpiper
