I came down here yesterday (6/2). It was a hot, windy trip, with my only stops
being Last Chance and Tempel's Grove. They have finally had some measurable
rain events in SECO (first since last July!) but the prairie, as Drummond,
Leukering, and others have reported, is VERY dry.

I had a great morning out and about the Eldorado Mountain Open Space near
Eldorado Springs. Bay Roberts told me about a RED-HEADED WOODPECKER that was in
