Hi briders
I relocated an American Dipper in Clear Creek, below the little dam
just east of Lowell Blv'd.(Adams Co). This is the favored spot now.
Best views are from the bike path or Lowell bridge. Parking on either
side of Lowell and 55th Pl. I watched off and on from 8 AM to to 8:51
AM. An Ameri
Yesterday I had and hour and a half to glass the lake. In that time I
found an injured Long-tailed duck sitting on the shore of the east
side of the lake. The poor duck had a broken bill with some flesh
hanging out and could not walk correctly. A picture can be found on my

We're having a nice Thanksgiving visit in Colorado. We saw the four
previously-reported Trumpeter Swans on this past Monday and Tuesday on the
drained Lake Estes. After a couple of days in Colorado Springs, we returned
this Friday afternoon to see the four Trumpeter Swans are still present on
The infamous Black Friday Birders turned up a juvenile type LONG-TAILED DUCK at
Union Reservoir (Weld) east of Longmont today. Steve Mlodinow detailed this
place yesterday and many of the birds he reported were seen (but no scaup),
including many Bonaparte's Gulls, Red-breasted Mergansers, etc.

The varied thrush is present right now at the house directly north of Buzz
Schaumberg's house.

Did someone actually re-find the male Black-throated Blue Warbler in Pueblo
City Park yesterday? Note that I haven't seen it since early November! Also,
I'm not even in Colorado, so there might be an error the Colorado Rare Bird
Alert from this morning.

1 Western Grebe
2 Common Mergansers
Numerous Mallards, American Wigeon, Northern Shovelers, Common Goldeneye, and
