Here is a new list for all Barrow's Goldeneye in Colorado for the 2011
count. I received two more reports from NW Colorado and the total is now
213 counted at 23 sites.

Now that there is ice cover the Erie Dump gulls have returned in mass to the
pond south of hwy 7 east of Lowell at Anthem to lounge. There are about 2,500
present currently with a nice 2nd year Glaucous, adult Lesser Black-backed.

The common redpoll previously reported showed up again at our bird feeders
today around 2:15 p.m. It may have showed up more often but no one was not
watching it much today.
At Bear Creek Nature Center today I saw a Northern Goshawk and an
all dark-morph Red-tailed Hawk.

I need some I.D. help!! At 4:20 this afternoon, from my kitchen window, I
noticed a bird on my suet feeder. Grabbed binocs and noticed a yellowish
warbler as it turned around on the feeder and then flew left out of view.
I raced to my laundry room window on the side of the house and
There were several intrepid biders searching for the duck this morning
to no avail. I will add further to Rachel's warning from yesterday.
New No Trespassing signs were put up yesterday. The owner's son
stopped by twice, once apparently writing down license plate numbers
for who knows why. Maybe

I located two Brant (probably the same pair) at 3 p.m. today on Plum Creek
at Chatfield State Park about 100m north of the bridge that crosses the
creek near the SE corner of the Plum Creek picnic area parking lot. They
were with a pair of American Wigeons and a handful of Mallards.
