Hello, Birders.
I visited Waneka Lake, Boulder County, late this windy afternoon, Thursday,
Dec. 29th, 2011, when, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a Tundra
Swan and a Trumpeter Swan, both adults. The birds flew in from the west, put
down in a little patch of open water on the lake

Once again you came through. Thanks for Snowy Owl directions and other
tips. Going to give the bird a try.

I have recently been away from my computer and contact with cobirds.
Could I please get a repeat of Walbek's instructions for reaching the suggested
walk-in point to try for the Snowy Owl in the Aurora Res. vicinity?
Is there a general place online for looking up
Joyce Takamine asked that I let you folks know when the Rosy-Finches
both come and go in my yard. They have left again, for higher ground
where they prefer to live. They won't come back until there is
another snow storm in the surrounding Spanish Peaks, below which I
live.
