This afternoon I made a quick run out to Jackson to try my luck at the various
goodies seen there in the past few days. I had given it a try last Thursday

Folks,
During the past 5 days I along with others, have birded NE Colorado hotspots,
several on multiple occasions. I can safely say... a) Late August is very
birdy (158 species) and b) shorebird turnover at Prewitt and Jackson is fast

Today, I decided to go to Jackson in search of the Little Gull, Buff-breasted
Sandpiper, or even the Curlew Sandpiper. In the hot conditions, I ran into a
birder from England staying in Fort Collins. I asked him if he had anything of
interest, and he stated "maybe to you". He said he was sure
Glenn Walbek and myself made it up to Van Bibber Trail in Jefferson county to
seach for the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher.
We found it in the same area that it has been seen for the past few days.
Photos can be seen on the Flickr site below or soon on Glenn's P-base site.
