Good point, but if you put up a whole bunch of bird feeders in your front yard, it's fairly predictable what's going to happen. Birders just need to use a certain amount of discretion, which sometimes seems in short supply. There is certainly (Lawyers? Lawyers? Bueller?) nothing illegal
