This morning, with some cloud cover allowing good views, I headed off to Panama
Reservoir. Numbers of birds were impressive, with >20 Bald Eagles, several
hundred Common Mergansers, 5 RB Mergansers, hundreds and hundreds of Redhead,
and... 11 AM WHITE PELICANS.

This afternoon before the storm, I visited the Museum of Discovery in Ft
Collins where around 70 redpolls continue. I saw one male Hoary Redpoll, and
two other possible Hoaries in about an hour and a half. The variation between
individual redpolls at the museum is really striking, and I

With the upcoming Snow Goose festival in Lamar this weekend, birders may
want to venture west to John Martin Reservoir. All the ice is off area
lakes, and with open water, multitudes of migrants are passing through.
From the dam at John Martin Reservoir, I observed an immature Glauco
