While looking at a mixed flock of ducks in a golf course water trap in the
Inverness business park, I saw what I thought were two green-winged teal, when
I noticed one had a strong, horizontal white bar. Immediate thought was
Eurasian teal!
Exit I-25 at Dry Credk and go East 1/2 mile to
Yesterday while having dinner at Lee Martinez Park, Maya spotted about 90
Sandhill Cranes.
Also today while riding my bike to work I stopped by the Museum of
Discovery and the redpolls are still present in lower numbers. I counted
about 50 individuals with one good Hoary Redpoll candidate.
An awesome flock of hundreds of mountain bluebirds at the mouth of
coal creek canyon.

Good Morning All,
Took some friends up to Red Rocks this morning and ran into Bruce
Neuman and a friend of his at the Red Rocks feeders behind the Trading
Post. We all saw the Golden-crowned Sparrow and Bruce reported they
had seen the pair of Prairie Falcons engaged in courtship behavior
Hi Cobirders. The year is marching right along! March came in like

By 11 am, Adam Jack's Mtn. Bluebird (male) flock had migrated from the
entrance of Coal Creek Canyon
northward to an area east of Plainview. As I sat in my car and watched,
the birds gradually moved north and
east while feeding from mullein and tall stalks of grass. What a sight!
At this rate,

Claire Montour and I were at the South Platte reservoir today and saw what we
believe to be a female horned grebe. According My books this seems unlikely,
but she seemed to have the correct characteristics. I got a completely terrible
picture of her, but you can see some of the characteristics
Hey, cobirders.
For some unexplainable reason we ventured down to Holcim Wetlands in Fremont
County thinking we might acutally see one of the Bohemian Waxwings reported by
Brandon Percival and SeEtta Moss.
It is to laugh!
We ran into SeEtta when we first arrived and searched for

I wasn't able to find any Bohemian Waxwings either. I did see a Rusty
