Late posting-I have continued to observe one or more Black Phoebes in
juvenal plumage around the area west of Sell's Lake parking area for the
Canon City Riverwalk daily (except one day when I was out of town). I have
not seen an adult Black Phoebe for at least 2 days so believe the young
Black
Cobirds:
For Larimer County. A walk along the Ute Trail in Rocky
Mountain National Park on August 10th Sat. yielded the following:
Sage thrashers at 11,500 feet (approximately) - 2 - foraging in boulder
field. Nothing unusual to see sage thrashers this time of year, but above

Hi Everyone-
Today 8/11 I birded my way from Lamar to Longmont. First stop was Two
Buttes. Surprise! There is a raging torrent where the road into the Two
Buttes Dam camping area used to be, and the road is roped off. The reservoir
is as full as I've ever seen it. Best thing I saw in the area
It seems to be all or nothing with rainfall in southeast Colorado. In
contrast to previous trips to the region this year, the current one
provided lush green vegetation and water everywhere.
I got a late start on Saturday (Aug 10), arriving in the early evening at
Neegronda Reservoir in Kiowa
