A few years ago, we had a debate evaluation thread about the various
smartphone birding apps, and I copied all that information into a file which
I now cannot find. If anyone else has a more organized computer (or personal
brain), would you send me what info you have,
Yesterday (Wednesday) at around sunset time along North College Ave. in
Fort Collins from the parking lot of Jax looking north in the big pine tree
in the parking lot of the motel across the street from Conifer I found 2
male PINYON JAYS sitting on top. Did not expect that.

No signs of the White-winged scoter at Lagerman mid-morning, however, there is
a gorgeous Blue morph Snow goose just south on 75th at Dodd Reservoir hiding in
amongst the cackling and canada geese.

This afternoon at Timnath reservoir, there was a very cooperative male Barrow's
Goldeneye on the south end of the reservoir at 2 p.m. (good photos).
I was also able to re-find the White-winged Scoter at Lagerman Reservoir

The solid consensus is Northern Shrike. I have copied below a reply from
Susan Craig (forwarded by her friend Nancy Gobris). Susan has done a lot of
research on shrikes in Colorado and elsewhere. In her reply she attached a
photo which, to my eye, shows a pretty normal appearing

This frosty Thursday morning, Nov. 14th, I heard and sorta saw a frolicking
flock of Bushtits at Greenlee Preserve, Boulder County. There would appear to
be no pattern whatsoever to this species' presence at Greenlee. My Bushtit

seen at Pueblo City Park on Sunday, 10 November, was a BLACKPOLL WARBLER. The
