Sorry for the delay but finally got over to Centennial Park after dealing with
jet lag from returning from China and a sinus infection. The Prothonotary
Warbler was again observed yesterday morning around 10:15 a.m. found by Paul

When I watched the bird for nearly an hour with a couple other people, the bird
spent about 75% of the time flycatching (most of that time), grubbing in the
leaves and such (bathing, preening) and only about 25% of the time eating the

area sites.
At the Jim Hamm Natural Area, a mere 136 Eurasian Collared-Doves failed to
match the "ungodly" number previously reported by Ted Floyd. A single
Sharp-Shinned Hawk and single Cooper's Hawk provided nice comparison

eastern US, especially around the Great Lakes, and along the Atlantic coast

Dear COBirders,
I'm new reporting to the list, just transplanted from California. Still
learning what is worth reporting, so bear with me.
On Dec 1 I enjoyed a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK and FERRUGINOUS HAWK along I-25 in
the vicinity of the Ludlow Exit. A juv. GOLDEN EAGLE was flying near
Walsenburg. Rat
I think as long as the bird is well fed, the temperature may not affect it.
