Birders, The John Martin Reservoir CBC was held on December 17th. We try to hold this count as early as the season as possible, because the great number of birds present on the reservoir is drastically reduced when the lake freezes. We also hold it during the week, because duck and deer hunter

[cobirds] Fort Collins CBC - Larimer County

The 67th Fort Collins CBC was held December 14th, a beautiful day, with 85 species seen on count day and an additional 4 during count week. The cold snap just prior to the count seemed to reduce the number of species seen, but probably accounted for some unusually high numbers for some species.
