I observed one male Brown-headed Cowbird in a flock of female Red-winged
Blackbirds to the northwest of Denver Int'l Airport yesterday.
Decent raptor diversity including a group of 5 Rough-legged Hawks which I
enjoyed watching for several minutes. I doubt it was actual play but they

This morning (9 am, too late?), I went down to the area in Broomfield where
you saw the Chukar and was unable to find it. I looked around the
industrial park and the nearby ballfields, but no luck.
Doesn't mean it's not there, just that I didn't see it.

Up to 20 male and female Rusty Blackbirds were see today at Chatfield
Reservoir State Park. The birds were singing in a cottonwood tree along
Plum Creek between the Plum Creek picnic area parking lot and the reservoir.
The bird were present for about 20 minutes singing up a storm and then flew

This morning there were only about 400 gulls at Cherry Creek at sunrise, but
that group included
1 first year GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL
3 GLAUCOUS GULLS
2 LBB GULLS
6 THAYER'S GULLS
and a first year Thiceland Gull (that is, a bird in between Iceland and
Thayer's Gull; whether such
