I continue to have the greater white fronted goose here on the pond that I
live on in Arapaho County just outside of Littleton (south of Bowles off Platte
Canyon.) He's become more accepted by the Canada geese here and seems to be one
of the gang.
I'm wondering if there have been other

Late yesterday afternoon, a birder visiting us for the Harris's Sparrows,

Just had a male black-chinned at my feeder. Seems like this is becoming a more
regular/annual event although in past years they have not stayed to breed in
the vicinity (although it appears they do about a mile away at a neighbors
place).

All,
On my ride into work this morning along the Cherry Creek Trail I had 1
dipper fly past me going NW (towards the confluence) at Arapahoe.
Last year I had dippers in Cherry Creek and at Confluence Park until June,
when I observed 3-4 of them, one appeared to be feeding young!
eBird doesn't
Russ called back to say he got a better look; the bills are* not yellow*,
but yellow orange
and the terns are LARGER than a Killdeer, so maybe FOrster's Terns.
So NOT Least Terns and sorry for any trouble this caused.

A (continuing?) male Northern Parula was singing most of the morning 50-100
meters east of the playground at Prospect Park today, on the north side of
the creek.

My apologies to anyone, especially Joe Roller, who was put out because of
my egregious misidentification of probably Common Terns as Least Terns. It
seems I need another lesson on actual versus apparent size.

Hi All,
The White-throated Sparrow that has been with us since mid November is still here. Its dullish coloring leads me to believe it's a female. "She" and I pine to hearthe male's song!
Also have a Green-tailed Towhee and Spotted Towhee newly arrived.

Hi COBirders,
Banding Report for CSR, Wed., 5/7/14. A nice morning again, with wind picking
up about 10:30, and shutting things down. There was another good turnover in
birds. The Chat stopover continues. Yesterday Dave E. had the two old-timers
10, and 7 years old. There were four more
I visited Flagler SWA late this afternoon. Winds were stiff from the south,
but there were good numbers of birds. Notable were a female Hooded Warbler and
a Least Flycatcher.
