Crow Valley is quite birdy today but it is lacking in many migrants. I
obtained a brief but good view of a WHITE-EYED VIREO after it flew into a
juniper. The bird disappeared soon afterward. The location is the NW part
of the campground in the bushy juniper at the group picnic
Is currently bring seen and heard.

Diana and I heard and then saw teh Blue-winged Warbler this morning at 8:45 am
at Welchester Tree Grant Park, Lakewood, just across the fence on private
property at the very east end of the park. Although many people have now seen
and/or heard this special bird, the precise location (map and
Spring migrants are still coming through.
Chico Basin Ranch, Pueblo County:
Rose Pond:
Least Bittern - 1 calling
Solitary Sandpiper - 1
Willow Flycatcher - 1 singing
Headquarters Pond:
Glossy Ibis - 1
White-rumped Sandpiper - 1
Red-necked Phalarope - 1
Black Tern - 1
Ring-necked Duck - 1 male
The Birder's Trail near the entrance to the Wild Basin area of RMNP was 48
degrees and rainy yesterday at 9 am, but very birdy for this location. 25
species in 1.5 hours. Nothing rare, but the great horned owl who flew from a
tree is unusual there. Also saw 2 American pipits, a red-necked

A CHIMNEY SWIFT joined many swallows foraging below the Chatfield SP dam in
Douglas late in the afternoon following rain. Least Flycatcher and lots of
birds other birds there, too.
Cordilleran Flycatcher has taken up song positions in and around my yard in
Ken Caryl Valley, Jeffco. Hope
