(first for the park), and a large flock of birds that had Wilson's(many),
Townsend's(3), Yellow-rumps, Warbling Vireo, and Chipping

I saw a Pine Warbler this morning, east of the Osprey Picnic Area on the North
Side of the Arkansas River, below Pueblo Reservoir dam. It was with
Yellow-rumped Warblers and other birds. The bird had a yellow throat, I'm
thinking maybe a first year male perhaps. The tail was long, the back
This morning Micki and I found 20-25 Western Wood Pewees and about 100
Cedar Waxwings zooming around at the south end of Hudson Gardens in
Littleton, the latter taking advantage of the many berry bearing trees in
this beautiful park. We also saw Peregrine Falcon, Barn Owl, Great Horned

Hammond's Flycatcher 1
Western Flycatcher 1
Nina Routh, Mike Serruto, and I birded Crow Valley Campground today from about

Shelter. They were hauling logs out of the south fenceline area (doing
conservation work according to the adult leaders involved) and
Georgia Doyle and I are here now, watching this adult jaeger. Cannot see a long
tail, but overall size and length relative to gulls plus very limited white on
upper side of primaries in flight indicate Long-tailed Jaeger.

Feeling like a fool. The jaeger just put on a show and displayed all
characteristics of adult Parasitic Jaeger. Apologies to the original reporter
for creating confusion. It IS Parasitic Jaeger. Dave Learherman arrived in time
for the show.

the school kids. Unfortunately, it was fairly slow today, the Public Day,
with only 5 birds among four species. The teachers and other public
members still seemed to greatly enjoy the experience, even with so few
