At Loomiller Park in Longmont, Boulder County, this warm, sunny, Sunday
afternoon, Jan. 25, Andrew Floyd and I saw a *Greater White-fronted Goose,* an
apparent *minima Cackling Goose,* and a small flock of *Common Redpolls.*

This afternoon (1/25) I was surprised to see a *Lewis's Woodpecker* flew
into a cottonwood along Massey Draw upstream of Valley Parkway in Ken Caryl
Valley. After a time it flew off toward the north.A hatch-year *Harris's
Sparrow* closer to Valley Parkway was continuing from late fall. A flock of
Wanted to let everyone know that several other birders and I could not relocate
the Eurasian Wigeon this afternoon (1/25/15)

Yesterday I found a female Williamson's Sapsucker drilling sap wells in 2
juniper and 1 pinyon pine tree in Red Canyon Park about 10 miles north of
Canon City. Previously I have seen and posted about the hundreds of old
sap wells I have seen in the trees in this pinyon-juniper habitat over the
Birders,
the Rosy-Finches are present this morning.

Hi Cobirders,
I arrived at Bobcat Ridge NA a little before 2pm. Parking was available
at that moment, but the NA was clearly busy, not surprising considering
the beautiful sunny windless 60 degree Sunday.
Four or five birders were on the woodcock and kindly pointed it out to
me. It was
At roughly 3:30 today, Sunday, there were two Mew Gulls and one adult Glaucous
Gull on the ice at Crown Hill Lake (Kipling and 26th, Lakewood), amidst a
couple dozen Ring-bills and 2 Herring Gulls.

Along with other birders at Pueblo Reservoir, Pueblo County today:
Trumpeter Swan - 1 adult (found yesterday), appeared in NE part of the lake,
along the rocks by the dam this afternoon.
Glaucous Gull - 1 1st year bird (found yesterday), made a quick visit at the
South Shore Marina tires this
Arrived at the Red Rocks Trading Post feeders about 7 this morning threw
out some seed. The Golden-crowned Sparrow appeared right away along with a
classic White-winged Junco.
Mark Chavez arrived about half hour later and put out more see. The
Golden-crowned put in another appearance before I

The woodcock is having some respite from all the attention today. Pulled
into Bobcat Ridge 12:45pm today and Ranger Fred was turning cars away
because the lot was full (of cyclists mainly). He insisted there was no
spot to park for 10 minutes to do a quick scan for the bird. Consider
Margie Joy found a Red-necked Grebe off North Picnic Road, at Pueblo Reservoir,
Pueblo County, this morning. It was with a small group of Western Grebes, when
I got there. This species is quite rare in the middle part of the winter.

Before the lot became full, the American Woodcock was seen by about a dozen
birders thanks to the keen eyes of Sue Quinlan.
