Took the family up to see the 200,000 Mexican Freetailed Bats at the Orient
Mine near Villa Grove last week. Was surprised to find 2 Long-eared Owls

Thanks to Scott's lead I saw the Black Phoebe at 1 pm. It was focused around
the small fenced area past the second shed. It seemed like it might be paired
with the Eastern Phoebe, which I saw carrying food to a likely nest site within
that smaller fenced area.
