I was up near Gold Hill, Colorado, on an early morning bike ride and I got this
photo of a big bird taking of from a tree. I'd love to know what it might be -
I'm assuming it's a hawk or an eagle:

It is still slow at Clear Spring Ranch for banding. Most of the birds I banded
today were netted before 7:15, but one of them was a Hatch-year Willow
Flycatcher, along with a couple of expected Yellow Warblers and Gray Catbirds.

This morning, while looking for dragonflies in eastern part of the Osprey
Picnic Area (below Pueblo Reservoir dam in the Rock Canyon Picnic Area), I was
