Good day all!
Had a fun little Daddy/daughter picnic at Crow Valley today. There was as
much playing around, climbing trees and bug collecting as there was birding
just as it should be. We were there from about 11-1. There were a few
highlights:

The Fort Collins Audubon Society Field trip to Timnath reservoir this morning
detected 55 species of birds including a few highlights. A Cassin's kingbird
and two Sage Thrashers were along the main entrance road to the park on the

On today's DFO/Audubon Fall Count at Chatfield State Park 10 people got
great looks at a WORM-EATING WARBLER. The overall birding was VERY slow and
only ~80 species of birds were seen (typical Fall Count at Chatfield is

We had lots of birds to share with the many visitors who came out to enjoy
Barr Lake's Fall Birding Festival today - 68 new (banded today) plus
another 22 banded in recent days. The Wilson's continue to dominate, but
