Hi folks --
What an awesome experience to see the snowy owl yesterday!
As some of you may have heard, a police officer arrived in mid-morning to
disperse the crew of birders watching the owl. She was very friendly and

attracted to the color and then watch the hummer sip the wine. After a short
wait the now giddy hummer would

On December 7 around DIA the Snowy Owl, a Burrowing Owl, and a Great Horned
Owl were seen. Short-eared Owls are also nearby. It is very late in the
season for Burrowing Owls so I was skeptical but there is a photo on the
CFO Facebook page of the Burrowing Owl. The Snowy Owl has been around DIA

I was at Union Reservoir this morning and saw the Trumpeter Swan with Joe
Mammoser. It was best seen from the northeast corner of the reservoir at a
distance that with a scope could be seen well.

I have contacted Judy Jaramillo of Excel to arrange a tour. I think it
would be easier if a group of us did a combined tour instead of many of us
trying to do this separately. I am thinking of doing this Wednesday or
Thursday. If you are interested, please let me know at nert...@comcast.net

Just to keep Joe Roller happy, the Snowy Owl WAS seen today. I watched it for about a hour and it moved very little but seemed healthy and alert. It was in the same area previously described. This is on the north side of a dirt road to the south of 114 Ave and east of Trussville St. I was
