This isa great place for birds. The newest stretch of the auto route was open
all of 2017. Tons of raptors, and in the spring and summer there are some
really great birds on that stretch: Orioles, Burrowing Owls, Horned
Larks,Grasshopper Sparrows, Vesper Sparrows, woodpeckers, nuthatches...and
Years ago in Rocky Mountain National Park I was only just starting to photo
birds and looking back at this photo I find I don't know exactly what it
is. It was taken along the East Inlet Trail in Rocky Mountain National
Park, Grand County. Can some one follow this link,
I had a neat surprise while hiking with my dogs this morning. We hiked
from Green Mountain Falls up to South Catamount Reservoir. Shortly after I
turned around and headed back, I noticed about 10 birds flying in/out of
the rocks below the dam on the north side of South Catamount Res. I
