I connected with Fawn S. at Prospect Ponds today, which offered a
cornucopia of sparrows.
Oodles of White-crown's, 3+ races of Juncos, many SOSP, the Fox Sparrow
that Dave described yesterday, and a Harris's sparrow.
Another highlight was a Rusty Blackbird foraging among the Brewers and

COBirders-- This morning in my back yard a flock of Dark-eyed Juncos
appeared for a while. They were mostly Slate-coloreds with two Oregons.
The latter are not very common here in Colorado's banana belt, adding to the

Hi all,
There’s an adult American Mew Gull at McCall Lake right now. This is a public
fishing pond south of Hwy 66 between Longmont and Lyons. It has been drawn down
so is attracting a nice variety of ducks, gulls, etc. The Mew was seen from the
east end.

There were seven or eight of us searching for the warbler yesterday
afternoon. I was there for about an hour and a quarter before someone else
relocated it. Of note for birders...this is only the second one I have seen
in Colorado. The first was with Harold Holt in the 1970s. But I heard them
