Hi,
I'll be in Boulder for the next week for the holidays and was wondering if
there was a reliable spot for all 3 (or 2) (or just 1) Rosy-Finch species
relatively close to Boulder?
Thanks in advance,
John Guthrie

My apologies...In the excitement of the moment I got the street names mixed
up and in my report earlier today. We saw the gyrfalcon at Trilby and Taft
at 10am this morning...not Trilby and Shields.

I wanted a flight shot of the Gyr for Christmas and this morning, David Ely
and I, along with several others were fortunate to get good looks, and then
watch as the bird pursued a Rock Pigeon, showing off some amazing
high-speed aerobatics. (Both in fact, as I think the Pigeon survived

Hi Tyler,
Hope you have good luck and just checking to be sure you saw Nick Komar's
note that the landfill will close at 2:30 (I think that's what he said!).
You can still scan the landfill from the south side by parking along Trilby
but it's pretty far off. I assume you'll try to arrive in
First seen near west end of Trilby road, perched on pole, just after 10AM. Flew
briefly to pole just west of intersection of Trilby and Taft Hill, then flew
north where it was seen stooping near the two buildings north of there. Not
being seen at this moment.

Hello all,
Is anyone interested in or planning on gulling the Larimer gull hotspots
tomorrow, 12/24? I was considering making a trip up from the Springs and was
hoping to meet up with anyone who knows lay of the land.
