Ben, it is my sense that Herring x GW hybrids are more likely than Pure GW Gull in Colorado. This bird seems to have a lot of GWGU in it (for example, the white secondary skirt due to long secondary feathers), the for a pure GWGU in its second winter, I would expect paler primaries and a mostly

My wife (Laura) and I spent about 2 1/2 hours waiting and looking yesterday (1/9) from shortly after 10:00 a.m. to about 12:30 p.m. No Gyrfalcon. Did see a Bald Eagle, Golden Eagle, 3 Red-tailed Hawks, and one Kestrel, plus lots of Crows and some Ravens. This also was our 2nd attempt. We
