Funny you should mention the lack of birds at Richmil Ranch Open Space. I
visited last Saturday, and I made it halfway around the loop before I saw or
heard a single bird. I ended up seeing a small group of American Tree Sparrows,
and a few juncos. My treat came as I was about to get in my car
