Two male bobolinks were present today in the fields east of Cherry Vale
opposite the entrance to the former HQs of the city's open space office. The
space may not meet the demands of city staff, but the bobolinks seem to find it
quite suitable. This is also an area where Ute's Lady Tresses can

I checked my Avisys records for Bent and Prowers for either raven and only
came up with one record: Common Raven, Bent, May 31, 2004. In my eBird
records I have 2 Common Raven at Hasty Campground on May 30, 2016 and 2
Chihuahuan Ravens at John Martin on May 28, 2017.

I write to request help with discerning the occurrence pattern of Common
Ravenin Prowers County. In my experience, the only ravens that I’ve seen/heard
inProwers (away from the very southernmost bit by Two Buttes SWA) that I was
convincedwere Commons -- and not the expected Chihuahuan Rave
Began my search for Hermit Warbler at 6 this morning, 4 hours later still have
not seen it!

After an intense lightning storm and a bit of hail last night, there were
lots of new visitors at Crow Valley Campground near Briggsdale. Highlights
included *Magnolia Warbler, Macgillvrays warbler, lazuli bunting,
black-headed grosbeak, orchard oriole a*nd close to a dozen*
yellow-breasted chat. *
There is a Vortex scope sitting at the parking area with no cars and no one
around. Let me know if it is yours and you would like it retrieved.

Late Saturday, May 25, we discovered a single Red Knot feeding in Stewarts
Pond. To avoid flushing it, no effort was made to photograph the bird, which is
still in mostly winter plumage.

A singing Yellow-throated Warbler continues at Roselawn Cemetery in Blende,
in Pueblo County, first found by Pueblo birder Evan Carlson back on May
11th. It was singing at 7:30am thid. Drive in from the west entrance off

Has anyone birded at Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra Shopping Center near
Loveland. The Greeley Tribune describes it as 26 acres with meandering walking
trails, 82 African sculptures and a place to bird watch.The aerial picture show
many trees and shrubs.
