Although things picked up a bit today with 22 new birds and 4 recaptures,
diversity was low with only Orange-crowned Warblers, White-crowned
Sparrows, and a single Green-tailed Towhee showing up in the nets.

morning, and it seemed a little crazy to the members of the Tuesday crew as

Happy October! I was much more of a fan of today's weather than I was of
the last few days', with overcast skies and seasonably mild temps. Too bad
it wasn't the most ideal for getting a high volume of migrant, and for the

I've only made it around 1/4 of the lake but already had a Field Sparrow in the
SE corner and a Palm Warbler between the lake and west pond. Lots of birds
today. Will update later with anything else good.
