What a nice surprise I had today. I saw a flock of birds in my backyard, and I
started to count them. Once I got my binocs on them I could tell they were
Cedar Waxwings. I saw no Bohemian Waxwings in the group. As I counted to number
46 ,the Cedars, left for the north. I am guessing there was at
Had a couple of Rosy’s briefly this morning. One Gray-crowned and one Brown-capped. Was able to photograph the former, but the latter vanished before I could get a photo. Also had at least 18 Cassin’s Finches and lots of juncos including White-winged and Slate-colored. Unequivocal c
I was happy this was posted as we all need to do our part and be smart.
Today at and around our feeder on a 15 minute watch, this is what came by to
call:
A pair of bustits, a Cassin’s finch, Downy woodpecker, 20+ juncos, at least 100
robins drinking water on the street, a red breasted nuthatch
Was hoping to get some overflow of the Estes Park Rosy Finches, but instead
got 30+ Cassin's Finches. Reasonable consolation prize.

pair of Crows who are both building nests less than a 100 yards from each other
