Another modest morning, banding 31 birds, plus catching another 21 (mostly
Wilson's and Orange-crowneds) that we had banded previously this season.
Here is the breakdown of the new birds:
Hammond's Flycatcher 1

Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 1

Hi Everyone, Todsy 9/20 I walked from the SWA parking lot to the southwest
corner and back, 3 miles each way. The north end had a young Ssbine's Gull at
the NW corner and lots of longspurs in with Horned Larks. Good variety of
shorebirds, including numbers of Stilt Sandpipers. I counted 20 Gre
Juvenile. Black back with fine light horizontal stripes at the top and white
patch near bottom. Clean chest with dark brown head. Photos of front and back.
Just west of boat launch in the dry cove.

We'd also be interested in hearing if the Reddish Egret is still around

Haven’t seen the Reddish Egret, but just found 5 Am G Plovers in the south end
of the lake near the outlet.

Josh Bruening and I birded Timnath Reservoir this morning and refound the

Golden-Plover* that was reported here yesterday.
We parked at the north end and hiked east on the mud until we were a bit
southwest of the swim beach area. It was very active, chasing Killdeer an
Found a young Chestnut-sides at the lake loop. First below the far south
parking lot then again just north of the lake loop parking lot proper.
Associating with large group of yellow-rumps and feeding in the
cottonwoods. Found it about an hour ago.
