Gyrfalcon seen at 2:03pm on fencepost south of concrete water tank south of road eating prey that was later stolen from it by what appeared to be a red-tailed hawk. Last seen flying North towards landfill art about 2:12.

Greetings-
This afternoon I found a 1st winter Black-legged Kittiwake on Martin Lake
at Lathrop SP. It was in the company of a good number of Ring-billed Gulls
as well as a handful of Herring Gulls, a couple of Lesser Black-backed
Gulls and a California Gull.

Common redpoll spotted this morning at 10:15am in the same backyard as
before. It hopped onto the long feeder on the left, then flew up to the
high fence around the jacuzzi. I went to get another birder who had just
left, but when we got back, it was gone. I waited for another 15-20

This morning (around 10:30) am I had a Golden-crowned sparrow just north of
the junction of 155th and Niwot rd. It was moving between the ditch and
willows and feeding roadside near some houses to the north of that. It was

There’s a flock of nearly 40 Evening Grosbeaks feeding in the Russian olive
trees along the northern edge of Walden Ponds, just west of the sw corner of
the sewage treatment plant. Vibrant colors on a gray and white day.
