Another chilly morning that led to a late start. Spent most of the morning
recapturing a total of 15 mostly year-round and wintering residents that we
had banded earlier in the season. Only 8 new birds banded today:
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Hermit Thrush 2
Orange-crowned Warbler 1
Song Sparrow 2
Finally ducks showed up at the Franktown ponds today.
At Walker Pit, we saw 3 coots and 18 Redheads -- until Bald Eale flushed
them.At McClain Pit, 150 ducks shimmered in the sunlight so that we couldn't ID
them. I think diving ducks comprised most of them. We did ID 6 Am. Wigeon, 4

Hi All!
Did anyone get a good scope view and/or clear photo to positively identify
the reported Pacific Loon at Cherry Creek State Park this past week? We
went out last evening searching for this bird and think we found it on the
west side from the dam walkway. I've checked with a local eBird R
We have five snow geese on the beach northwest side of reservoir.
