It was a cold, snowy late May (1-2 feet of snow on May 30 in the foothills above 8500' in the foothills S and SW of Boulder). Golden Gate Canyon State Park had 18" in one storm and 6" the next day. I suspect this also has something to do with the breeding juncos in Denver. Paula Hansley
