We will hold the Denver Urban CBC on New Year's Day, 2023 (as usual). We
welcome participants to count with one of the parties or in your yards. The
count circle covers western Aurora & east Denver to Cherry Creek Res. and a
little bit south of Hampden.
We have the count up on the Denver
Geoff Stacks and I stopped at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden in Centennial
(Arapahoe) today. The southwest corner was birdy. A White-throated Sparrow,
perhaps the same one that was in my yard late last week, was mixed in with
juncos, Spotted Towhees, and White-crowned Sparrows. A Cassin's Finch
Anyone planning to attend the Rawhide CBC on Dec 31 must let me know ASAP if
they want to access the power station property.
I have to submit a form requesting access permission, so if you hope to see the
large concentration of waterfowl in the cooling pond let me know now!
