After reading Ajit Antony's post on the 18th regarding HMANA's Winter
Raptor Survey, I uploaded the Nunn Raptor Alley route into their database
and drove the route earlier today. Raptor Alley is included in the Eastern
Plains Colorado Birding Trail
A flock of about 20 Bohemian Waxwings just flew over my home at Ken Caryl
Valley, heading off southwards as they left the view. It was wonderful to
hear their calls. These were my first in the area.

I have a list of birds that have not been put on eBird that goes back to
fall of 2021 here in Eagle County. I have tried to contact a few people
that I know who are connected with eBird and their reply to me was that
they could not help.
I go out most every day of the year and do the best
I, too, had a White-throated Sparrow, before sunrise Thursday, with my
usual juncos (Slated-coloreds, Pink-sideds, Oregons and a single
White-winged). The White-throated was a new yardbird for me here in
Denver's Hale neighborhood.

The Bonny Christmas count is on Friday next week. This is an open

A Northern Shrike was staking out the goldfinches in my tiny townhouse yard
yesterday morning. Definitely did a double take for that unexpected
visitor. Goldfinches were too elusive for the shrike.

An immature White-throated Sparrow rolled in with a group of Grey-headed
